If Our Unsparing Father Places No Limit on Our Praying then there is No Limit Placed on His Giving

Tip! What really determines’ the effectiveness of our labor for Christ is the measure of our faith and the fervency of our prayers. If our faith is poor and our praying is indifferent; how can we expect to achieve much for Him?

". . . Every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." — Luke 11:10.

I don't think that Jesus could get anymore simpler in His teachings then in this settlement to us. He is giving us a valid reason to trust that every sincere prayer offered by His people will be answered. Again, I must say that it is only the genuine prayer that our Father hears.

"Ask, seek, and knock." Jesus stated these three fundamentals of prayer all through His ministry on earth. He revealed these three essentials of prayer in His parable about the man asking his baker friend for three loaves. It is pretty clear that he was asking for bread, seeking and knocking for bread in the middle of the night, making his request known over and over.

Our Master's words are helpful in showing us the only accepted principles of effectual praying. It confirms our faith, increases our understanding, and enables us to properly ask, seek and knock for His certified promises. Is it not obvious that His promises concerning prayer are as measureless in scale as the degree of His promises belonging to salvation? The Holy Spirit had Paul write this down for us, to help us understand why.

"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things." -- Rom. 8:32.

Tip! THE possibilities of prayer are gauged by faith in God's ability to do. Faith is the one prime condition by which God works.

Wow! Ok, think about this, if our unsparing Father places no limit on our praying then there is no limit placed on His giving. If we believe that Christ was sacrificed to save us to the utmost, we have to believe that He is able to supply all our needs completely. This Scripture above shows us that the possibilities of prayer are as great as the unlimited measure of His redemptive grace. Wow again!

The regrettable and true fact is that we have been extremely slow to understand the unlimited possibilities of prayer as shown in Christ's simple words. In fact we are still unsure and some times we even doubt this promise is for us. It is when we fully understand His instructions about praying, and grasp these promises by faith; then and only then will we not find it hard to pray the effectual fervent prayer of achieving faith.
